Looking for Samsung Smart TV App developers

Is anyone available to continue the great work that @@chessdragon136 has created so far?

 

The app is excellent but can be enhanced and expanded by contributors to the project.

 

Chess has placed the code on Github, so can be easily forked.

I've been trying for a long time (Since I started in fact) to try find a second programmer to work with me on this but I never did find one - Samsung App Devs are a rare breed and expecially now that people are waiting to see if they are going to phase out their current language for the Tizen framework people are not willing to invest time to learn it..

I would just look for people who know javascript and html. that's all you really need. the samsung framework aspect can be picked up easily.

In principle that should be true - sadly it's badly documented and so few active people that when you hit problems you're pretty much on your own. But yeah the JS and HTML is all standard stuff and frankly with my current code as a base the Samsung bits that are there are easy to understand for the most part.

I'd like to have a look myself, but not sure what the pre-requisites are.

 

I downloaded the SDK and installed it, but then didn't know what else was needed.

None - once the SDK is installed then you're good. I use the 4.1 SDK as its the latest to support D series as opposed to 5 - I really need to write a dev wiki
