Cant select items from menu screen on DVDs

I'm running the newest MB server/Classic client in Win 7 64-bit, through Windows Media Center.

 

Runs fine when playing DVDs in video_ts format from the HD. But when the dvd contains a menu, I can't select 'play', 'chapter selection'  or any of the menu features. MB goes into pause mode instead. Its as though hotspots aren't recognized.

 

Is there a trick to getting MB to select hotspots on a dvd menu?

You have to turn off the custom player interface for DVD rips.  There is a setting for this in the Playback config page in MBC.
