Mediabrowser on Ubuntu - Problem

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hello,

I used MediaBrowser-Server on Ubuntu. I installed it maybe 1-2 monath ago. Now i cant access to MediaBrowser on Firefox with "http://localhost:8096/mediabrowser".

Then i tried with following steps to uninstall Mediabrowser:

1) apt-get autoremove mediabrowser

2) manually remove the ppa:apps-z/mediabrowser - repository

3) In Nautilus: searched & removed all "mediabrowser" related files

After that i restarted and execute that steps:

- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:apps-z/mediabrowser
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install mediabrowser
- service mediabrowser start
- visit http://localhost:8096/mediabrowser

But still i cant access to mediabrowser. On Firefox just appears "unable to connect".

Do you can help me?

Try replacing 'localhost' with the actual IP address.

Thanks, but i tried this already yesterday. It doesn't matter if i use localhost or the IP. I also tried to open the Port 8096 in my firewall, but it doesn't help.

Any other ideas? I don't want to reinstall Ubuntu on my VM

I included the two log-files from /var/lib/mediabrowser/logs

Maybe it helps.

You seem to be missing sqlite3. Are both sqlite and sqlite-dev installed?

@ I thought that this issue was fixed.

I added it as a dependency, so the apt-get should tell the user that its missing. And then it's up to the user to install the missing dependencies listed by apt-get.
