Different sizes for playing video in web browser

There are currently just two views. A small window and full screen. It would be great if there were different sizes.

I have just found a way around this. Opening the video in a new tab does exactly what I want but then the controls do not work.

there's a similar request.

Right click the video playing then select open video in new tab. The only working control is play and pause.
