Looks a bit pricey for what it is to me..? You could probably inline connect an ir light switch for the same effect and just use your standard ir from there on...??

Perhaps I'm not environmentally friendly enough, but I just leave my media PC on.  By the time anything starts to wear from always being on, it's already obsolete and has been replaced.  Even with the SSD for the OS I find it's easier to leave it on than to boot any time someone wants to watch something.

I let mine sleep and it auto weakest with mbc.
