Boredcat 34 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) Since almost a week I find that the Media scan take a very long time to complete or they don't complete at all (they stuck at 49%). When I stop a stuck job it has gets the status stopping. The only solution is that stop/start the service. I removed several plugins, without luck,.I removed my complete audio library without luck.Removed Movies, no luckAdd Movies again no luck. Does anybody have any idea what is causing this. ?Hope the attached logfile helps. Boredcat 34 Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 At 20:50 I stopped the scan, scan went into stopping state. Stop/start the service. And not the scan is stuck at 50.9%. Stop the service again. I am now trying to use the "normal" program instead of the service. Next thing is to remove all the library folder and add them one by one to see if this the cause.
Happy2Play 9781 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Post a log file. Someone may see why it is not completing properly.

ebr 16184 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Make sure you have configured the service with an appropriate user. Unable to access media when running server as a service
Boredcat 34 Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 Will check the access rights on the shared folders. Strange thing if that it worked for several months as a service without any problem.
