Nar not at all...I think the work being done here is fantastic and NOTHING here is a let down at all. Everything is evolving and it's awesome to see. That's why many of us hawk the forums scouring for hints of new stuff I just say 'hopes' as in it would be great, in that scenario. More of a quick entertainment on the go - type thing. Leaving for work in the morning, copy some music/playlists. Travel for work, copy movies and tv. Being able set the app in an offline mode and browse the content that's cached. As you say 7 could possibly add random sync lists, which would be very cool... I'll trying out build .214 now. I haven't been able to get a successful sync as yet. I'm heaps keen to try it. Ran a sync different quality (medium) of same movie...deleted the orginal sync job with missing video...and by morning the new quality (medium) was synced and the original quality file not shown. Cancel Sync Job: Pass Other notes: * Significantly less crashing on startup. Still crashes during about 10% of sessions in interaction. * Playing Live TV has no back button to leave the currently playing media (I had to use keyboard backspace to return from playing video). That's why I'm asking for the next. @@bennymac Can you get me the crashlog? (if played in vlc i can see how far i have watched) and it won't report playback status because of that either (aka no resume point). On the + side, if physically removed from the folder the app catches it really quick. *crap* removed the file before i could get an MediaInfo from it will try to sync it again. *edit2* the server and the app both lists the episode as "synced" and won't take the hint to convert and transfer the file again. Luke 42077 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 no, it is not practical to run those tests ahead of time and not even possible when you take into consideration future items. Studies show the vast majority of users use applications at default settings, so that also reflects where most of our efforts go towards. So options like that can be tucked away under some advanced menu. to them, there won't be any confusion because they're just going to click OK without reading everything.

Maybe someone else can confirm. Let me know when you are ready for UI comments. Is anyone testing with a Win 8.1 Pro client with MC remote ? I still have one client that the menu choices under the user icon do not do anything. It is like the select event is not being triggered or captured. I know it seems crazy. I can get to the sync settings page from the charms menu, go figure. My latest guess is there is some weirdness going on between the mouse/keyboard, touch and MCE remote events. If anyone could confirm that would be great. Thanks

I've also done a little test which I want your feedback on before progressing with the design and implementation. If you make sure to use the touch UI (Charms-menu -> Settings -> Unmark "Use Mouse & Keyboard layout" if on) Go into a movie details view. What I've done is to remove the bottom appbar and Replaced the playTo button with a "more" button instead which shows a contextmenu similar to how the Webclient does. The design is REALLY temporary, I wanted your feedback on InteractionDesign prior to Graphics work.. If you like it I will add it to more places and hopfully get rid of the bottom appbar totally 1
