Issues with .srt subtitle recognition

Hello everyone.

I’m having trouble with .srt subtitle recognition in Emby 4.10.2. External .srt subtitles are not being detected—this is also the case for subtitles within .mkv files. I’ve encountered this with two different videos. I run the media server on Windows, and I haven’t experienced issues like this before.
For example: one video (.mkv) has embedded subtitles, while another has a separate .srt file. The separate file isn’t recognized; when I test it, subtitles do appear, but only when I select one of the embedded ones (which are in a different language than the .srt file). Note that I did try including the language abbreviation in the filename.
In the second video (.mkv), none of the embedded (SSA) subtitles are recognized.
Anny suggestion?
