Emby / Home Assistant

Currently I run Emby on a Synology 920 plus. Mostly works ok, recorded TV sometimes behaves odd. I have three or four remote users regularly.  Have a smarthings hub I want to replace and go to home assistant. Would it be worth getting a better mini PC to run Home Assistant and Emby and leave my NAS to simply serve? Power use and cost are both considerations. I recently switched my cams and networking to Unifi if that matters.
