difference between shuffling albums vs songs?

In my Music library, I can Shuffle on the Albums tab or the Songs tab.  But, both produce the same thing - a list of randomly selected songs.  

So, that makes sense for the Songs tab.  It does not make sense for the Albums tab, where, logically, it would be expected for a list of randomly selected albums to be played.

What is the diff between these?  one is album shuffle, one is songs shuffle


 

If there is a diff, you'll need to explain it to me like I'm 5.
