srooke 0 Posted October 27 Posted October 27 (edited) Just to be clear: I do not condone piracy. Please use this plugin for legal purposes only. Add Seerr Discovery and Requests Directly in Emby My wife and I have a large number of digitized movies from decades of buying DVDs. We also have three kids that we want to give access to our collection, but still maintain control over what they watch (see, e.g., Taxi Driver, Eyes Wide Shut). Recently, I have been playing around with Seerr and testing its request functionality as part of the workflow. So far its great, but I wanted to enable discovery and requesting directly inside Emby. 36 hours of vibecoding later, I present the Emby-Seer-Native Discovery plugin. I've tried to make it simple to set up and easily customizable so that it can be used for any Emby-Seerr workflow. I welcome feedback and will upload new versions to the Github as bugs are worked out and features are added. Github: EmbySeerrNative Features: Directly import the discovery lists from Seerr A simple tool for building, saving, and managing TMDB API queries and user lists (requires a TMDB API key) Two new "channels" in the side bar: Discover Movies and Discover Shows Can add the new discover channels to your Homescreen Clear visual markers indicating whether a title has been requested or is partially available in your library (titles already in your library can be hidden) Click the favorite (heart) button to trigger a request to Seerr Click on the movie poster to play the trailer (if available) Support for two different download profiles on Seerr (e.g., local/remote, adults/children) Installation instructions: Download the DLL file above Add it to your Emby plugins folder Restart your Emby server Add your Seerr address and API Key and review other settings Under "Scheduled Tasks" click on "Refresh Internet Channels" Notes: You have to sign into Seerr using your Emby Account (this is how it links between the two) The plug-in will show up as "Discover" after you have installed it Configuration is only available through the web interface, but the plugin works in the apps Edited October 27 by srooke
