alberdev 1 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Hi everyone, I'm the developer of WeTrakr, a free movie and TV tracker: watch history, stats, lists, calendar and recommendations. This is our official Emby plugin, and I'd love some testing from the community before asking for it to be added to the catalog. What it does - Live scrobbling. What you play shows up in WeTrakr's Now Playing, and movies and episodes you finish are marked as watched. Marks, ratings and favorites you set in Emby are sent too. - Two-way library sync. Emby to WeTrakr: your watched history (with dates), resume points, favorites and ratings. The whole library is sent once, on the first sync; after that only what changes. WeTrakr to Emby: what you watched elsewhere (Kodi, Plex, Stremio, Jellyfin, the WeTrakr apps...) is marked as played, titles in progress appear in Continue Watching, and ratings and favorites come back. Your WeTrakr Planning list becomes a "WeTrakr Watchlist" playlist. - Every user links their own account from their own Settings > WeTrakr. The admin page holds the server-wide options: scrobbling, each sync direction on or off, and libraries to ignore (Kids, Anime...). - Light on the network. Changes in Emby go out as they happen. WeTrakr is checked with one small request when someone starts using Emby and every 30 minutes while in use, plus one full reconciliation a day. An idle server makes about 4 requests a day per linked user. - No Emby Premiere needed. Requirements: Emby Server 4.9 or newer (tested on 4.10). Install 1. Stop Emby and copy Emby.Plugin.WeTrakr.dll (attached) into the "plugins" folder of your server data: Docker: /config/plugins Linux: /var/lib/emby/plugins Windows: %AppData%\Emby-Server\programdata\plugins 2. Start Emby. 3. Open your user menu > Settings > WeTrakr, press "Link WeTrakr" and enter the code at wetrakr.com/activate. If you used other not official community plugin that is also called WeTrakr, remove it first, or every play will reach WeTrakr twice. sdragon001 31 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Hey everyone, I’ve been testing this plugin with Emby stable and Beta in Docker, I haven't ran into any issues I’m looking forward to this being officially on the Emby catalog. Alberdev has been amazing with updates, support and feedback. Please check out our Wetrakr, Ive fully replaced Trakt. 1
zebo51 23 Posted Saturday at 12:22 PM Posted Saturday at 12:22 PM I've been testing it on a windows setup and seems to be working great. It has also become my trakt replacement. A while back I switched to wetrakr importing from trakt and IMDB. I was using a jellyfin work around for emby --> wetrakr just to keep track of watched shows/movies. Once he released the official plugin I switched over. After 1st sync I was showing around 2k duplicates. Very easy to see and find on wetrakr. As I shouldn't have gotten that many and after reporting Alberdev found the issue and fixed it very fast. Alberdev is very active in his reddit community and constantly making changes/updates. I highly recommend Wetrakr.
lowe1739 3 Posted Saturday at 01:45 PM Posted Saturday at 01:45 PM It's got a nice interface, easy to move around and know what you are looking at it. Good stats and sync's really fast on first load. Great way to see progress across everything so you don't miss completing something.
nz_monkey 20 Posted Monday at 10:50 PM Posted Monday at 10:50 PM I have been testing WeTrakr with alberdev's plugin. It works really well, the WeTrakr UI is pretty slick, and sync happens very quickly.
alberdev 1 Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago v0.4.2 is out: https://github.com/wetrakr/wetrakr-emby/releases/tag/v0.4.2 - One WeTrakr account can now be linked from several Emby servers (stable and beta, home and away...). Link it on each server the same way. WeTrakr Settings > Emby lists every linked server and lets you unlink one without touching the others. - New plugin image with the current WeTrakr logo. The DLL is attached to this post (the one in the first post is an older version). New releases will always be on GitHub. Thanks everyone for testing! Emby.Plugin.WeTrakr.dll
