MangaAddict 21 Posted Thursday at 06:18 PM Posted Thursday at 06:18 PM With all of the controversy surrounding Plex, many disgruntled users are jumping ship and swimming to calmer seas. I’ve been doing my part ferrying these poor lost souls over to the promised land. However, several are reluctant or have jumped overboard due to one feature….Shared libraries! Personally, even though I’ve had it on Plex, I never used it, but it seems like a big deal to many and a deal breaker for some. Are there any plans to add this feature in a future update? I’ve already boldly stated that there’s nothing Plex does that Emby can’t do better, only to have that thrown in my face
Neminem 1965 Posted Thursday at 06:20 PM Posted Thursday at 06:20 PM What is "Shared libraries!" ? How does that work?

Shared libraries is a feature in Plex where users can share their servers with each other and switch between them in one instance of Plex. You also have the ability to search across libraries. So for instance, if you searched for Star Wars, you’ll be able to find content on everyone’s servers and it may also help you identify content that’s missing, like finding movies on the other servers that you don’t have but would like to. You can also have multiple servers with different content and be able to add and manage all from a single Plex app.
