dcati 15 Posted Tuesday at 01:38 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:38 PM (edited) Fluxby — a Netflix-style client for your own Emby server Hi everyone, I've been building Fluxby, a client for your own Emby server with a browsing experience that belongs on a television — and it's now ready for its first closed beta. I'm looking for testers. Fluxby provides no content of its own: you point it at an Emby server you already run, log in with your Emby account, and it gives you a clean, remote-friendly way to browse and play everything on it — VOD and live TV. What it does *Home screen with a hero banner and rows: continue watching, recently added, what's on live right now, and your own libraries *Built for a d-pad — full remote navigation, not a touch UI moved onto a TV *Movies & series with cast, ratings and a season/episode picker *Player with subtitle & audio track selection, chapters, skip intro, auto-play next, and watch progress that syncs back to your other Emby clients *Live TV with a full day-long EPG, category filters and instant channel switching *Search across films, series, channels and programmes at once *Multiple profiles with an optional PIN *Optional integrations: a Seerr/Jellyseerr instance for requesting titles, and an MDBList key for IMDb / Rotten Tomatoes / Metacritic / Trakt / Letterboxd ratings Runs on Android TV (phones and tablets too). Requirements *Your own Emby server *Live TV additionally requires Emby Premiere on that server *An Android TV / phone / tablet, and a Google account to join the test It's a beta — honest caveats Browsing, playback, live TV, search and profiles all work. Still being verified on real hardware: *Passthrough audio (DTS/TrueHD) and HDR are unconfirmed on some devices *Bitmap subtitles (PGS/VOBSUB) haven't been tested against real content yet Feedback on exactly these things is hugely welcome. Want to test? The beta runs through Google Play closed testing. To join: *Send me a private message with the Google account e-mail you use on your TV/phone (please don't post it publicly here) *I'll add you and send back the opt-in link *Open the link with that same account, tap "Become a tester", and install Fluxby from the Play Store Happy to answer any questions in this thread. Thanks — looking forward to your feedback! (Screenshots attached below.) Edited Tuesday at 01:50 PM by dcati 5
