Clackdor 129 Posted Tuesday at 01:22 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:22 AM I am currently testing using STRM files as a way to have movies that are in my anime series library under series specials show up in my movie library as well. I created the movie folder with the correct name as well as the strm file pointing to the file under the anime series. The movie is automatically picked up correctly and generates the poster/images and the nfo file in the movie folder correctly. Playback works perfectly fine too. The only thing missing is the BIF file for thumbnail previews. All of my libraries are set to store images, nfo, and BIF files next to media. Manually copying the BIF file into the movie folder and renaming it has no effect even after a library scan. I would rather not have to store the same file twice just to get video previews to show up. Is there any way to work around this? This may just be a limitation with STRM files, and that's understandable for remote streams. If the STRM file is referencing a local video file (or even one an an SMB share) I would think there should be a way to get the preview thumbnails to work.
Luke 43402 Posted Tuesday at 02:33 AM Posted Tuesday at 02:33 AM Hi, that's correct that currently we do not do this for strm. 1
