HouseOfCards 121 Posted Saturday at 06:42 AM Posted Saturday at 06:42 AM Good day, Is it possible to support MP4 files as animated music album art? There are now sources to find animated album artwork, but the majority are MP4 files. The issue is that a 15 MB MP4 file, when converted to a reasonable quality GIF file, can be upwards of 150 MB. I'm not sure if it's possible to do, but I'm asking because I think it would be a great improvement. So allowing us to use "folder.mp4" or "folder.gif"... Thanks!
Solution Luke 43402 Posted Saturday at 07:56 PM Solution Posted Saturday at 07:56 PM HI, that would come with considerable complication, having to use a video player just to render a movie poster. Even if technically possible that does not seem like a good idea just from the standpoint that it's not the right tool for the job. 1

Luke 43402 Posted Saturday at 08:35 PM Posted Saturday at 08:35 PM animated webp might be something for us to look at though. 2
HouseOfCards 121 Posted Saturday at 08:57 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:57 PM That would help too... Some of the animated stuff is really nice, and size is definitely a factor in collecting them. Thanks again. 1
