justinrh 295 Posted Friday at 01:05 AM Posted Friday at 01:05 AM Emby Server > Live TV > Channels won't allow you to configure a channel - the guide fields are missing. AND, for a bonus, you get a spinner while trying to work on the page! click a channel radio button to enable it, click the channel to open the Edit dlg - observe the incorrect form is shown and a spinner that persists even after dismissing the dlg.
Luke 43362 Posted Friday at 03:14 AM Posted Friday at 03:14 AM Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!

Uncle_Frank 24 Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago It comes from a bad m3u, if you make a text with the channels you watch it works fine it's actually the jumbled bad code in your m3u that does this. If your m3u has enough garbled up broken code you get that message i can reproduce it by adding garbled up code in an m3u. Stems from resellers copy n pasting and making mistakes eventually something has to give right? I had m3u's like that before it happens so just fix it yourself it also causes reset issues and hangs all kinds of issues running an m3u through emby thats made from someone who can't make an m3u. As a test get 5 channels and make an m3u starting the text file obviously with #EXTM3U then below add your stuff see if it works For example #EXTM3U #EXTINF:-1 AETVHD 118 A&E http://unimaster.us:80/BerkBalatlioglu/e2x19t7x2v/359206 #EXTINF:-1 AMCHD 131 AMC http://unimaster.us:80/BerkBalatlioglu/e2x19t7x2v/359204 #EXTINF:-1 APLHD 184 ANIMAL PLANET http://unimaster.us:80/BerkBalatlioglu/e2x19t7x2v/359199 #EXTINF:-1 BRAVOHD 129 BRAVO http://unimaster.us:80/BerkBalatlioglu/e2x19t7x2v/359189 #EXTINF:-1 CNNHD 200 CNN http://unimaster.us:80/BerkBalatlioglu/e2x19t7x2v/358982 #EXTINF:-1 COZITV 253 COZI TV http://unimaster.us:80/BerkBalatlioglu/e2x19t7x2v/359176 #EXTINF:-1 DSCHD 182 DISCOVERY http://unimaster.us:80/BerkBalatlioglu/e2x19t7x2v/359171 #EXTINF:-1 FXMHD 384 FXM http://unimaster.us:80/BerkBalatlioglu/e2x19t7x2v/359159 add that into a self made text then direct emby's live tv to it and report back, it will be fine because the code is not all jumbled up like some resellers

So if the M3U is corrupt, what do I do? Anyways, the UI is different than before and it is seen with multiple channels. I need a path to resolution.
Luke 43362 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Is this immediately following re-enabling the channel?
justinrh 295 Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago I'm not sure how to answer. The steps are to enable, then edit.
Luke 43362 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago What happens is that after you enable, it kicks off a guide refresh to get that channel re-imported into the server. if you click to edit it before that happens, then you run into the problem you're describing. We need to look at improving that. 1
justinrh 295 Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Test: I enabled the channel, waited ~1 minute, then click to edit - get the same wrong result. I then exited admin page, back to admin > Live TV, click to edit channel and it looks correct. FYI 1
