bm-uk 0 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Currently running Version 4.11.0.6 beta as a App in Home Assistant for a couple of years and it has been working really well. My media is organized via scripts that do various lookups against TMDB and TVDB to validate the IDs of shows and Movies and these numbers are embedded in the directory and file names. The library is large and I have created single character folders under the series and movies folders to reduce the number of subfolders. For example, for series they are like this. There are no season subfolders. The script replace any non usable character with underscores, so ' or ? get swapped to a _. Series A Abraham Lincoln [tvdbid=416399] Abraham Lincoln [tvdbid=416399] - S01E01 - iptv.strm Abraham Lincoln [tvdbid=416399] - S01E02 - iptv.strm Abraham Lincoln [tvdbid=416399] - S01E03 - iptv.strm Absentia [tvdbid=330500] Absentia [tvdbid=330500] - S01E01 - iptv.strm Absentia [tvdbid=330500] - S01E02 - iptv.strm Absentia [tvdbid=330500] - S01E03 - iptv.strm B Baby Reindeer [tvdbid=417223] Baby Reindeer [tvdbid=417223] - S01E01 - iptv.strm Baby Reindeer [tvdbid=417223] - S01E02 - iptv.strm Baby Reindeer [tvdbid=417223] - S01E03 - iptv.strm Movies are organized the same but have the TMDB ID in the the folder and file names. Back a couple of years ago I originally had this issue with only a single series. Marvel_s 616 [tvdbid=367227] I just deleted it and everything was fine until some new series got added recently and displayed the same behavior. Yakamoz S-245 [tvdbid=394252] Gordon Ramsay_s 24 Hours to Hell and Back [tvdbid=338893] Jamie_s 30-Minute Meals [tvdbid=197031] Blake_s 7 [tvdbid=75565] All the series affected seem to have digits as part of the title. Now the annoying bit. When one of these series is placed in the folder Emby gets very confused. For example if the Blakes 7 folder is placed under the B folder with several hundred other shows, all the shows starting with B disappear and the B folder becomes some random show name that does not exist, this random show then displays as having several thousand episodes. None of the B shows can be found or accessed. If I remove the Blakes7 folder and rescan all the other shows come back. While searching for this issue I came across someone reporting similar behavior for Jellyfin #13875. I have recreated the issue on fresh Emby server and just placed a few files in in the media directories and the behavior is consistently reproduced. Edited 4 hours ago by bm-uk

Luke 43318 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Hi, what is the content type of the library in emby library setup?
bm-uk 0 Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago TV shows All the settings for the library are at the current default. Only thing changed was the grouping is now turned off (Tried that to see if it made a difference). TheTVDB is the default for all the metadata and TMDB as fallback. There are no NFO files in my library.
