tchemitu 0 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Hi everyone, First, a big thank you to the Emby team for this amazing project and all the work you put into it! I’m an Emby Premiere subscriber and always use the beta versions. I’d like to introduce Library Hub, a free, open-source plugin for Emby Server. It provides: Library browsing and searching through a standalone browser interface. Daily HTML archives showing library additions and removals. Report generation for a selected date range. Optional daily email subscriptions, with confirmation and unsubscribe links. Administration of libraries, archives, and subscribers from the Emby dashboard. English and French interfaces, plus administrator and user guides with screenshots and diagrams. Browsing and email reports respect each user’s Emby permissions. Saved archives are shared by all signed-in members and include every library covered by those reports. The plugin targets .NET Standard 2.0. Loading and archive generation were verified on Synology with Emby 4.11.0.6. Other platforms and server versions still need community testing. Library Hub works through a browser, including on Android. Native Android and TV app integration is not included. Installation uses a single Emby.LibraryHub-0.1.1.dll, attached to this topic. Stop Emby, replace the installed plugin DLL, and restart Emby. If you try it, please share your Emby version, platform, and any issues or suggestions. I’d also appreciate advice from the Emby team on the next steps toward inclusion in the official plugin catalog. Thanks! crusher11 1339 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Why do I need a plugin to browse my library? Isn't that what the Emby user interface is for?
tchemitu 0 Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Fair question! Emby already handles library browsing well. The main purpose of Library Hub is to help members follow changes to a shared library: • Daily reports showing added and removed titles. • An archive of those reports to revisit later. • Optional email subscriptions to receive updates without checking manually. Browsing and search also have their own layout and visual style, offering another way to explore your Emby library. I should have highlighted reports and subscriptions more clearly in the introduction. Thanks for the feedback!

Different plugins suit different needs, and Library Hub won’t be useful to everyone. I built it for people who want daily reports, email updates, and a different browsing experience. If Emby’s existing interface already covers your needs, that’s perfectly fine too!
