Have tried to install EmbyIcons Plugin, but it's not working.

I'm running Emby 4.10.0.40 and tried to install EmbyIcons (twice - see below). Have restarted Emby after the plugin had installed, but it doesn't display under my installed plugins?

 

Please give me a log of Emby trying to start with embyicons installed.

I just fixed a problem in EmbyCredits that might be the same thing wrong here, i just want to be sure about the issue.

I uploaded another version to the catalog v5.60.0.5.
That should work correctly.

Installed, restarted Emby, but now Emby isn't coming back online, when I press run on my Synology NAS, after a few moments it says Manually Stopped ...

@sobeitjediI just rechecked the log and i missed this before.
I found this in the log "-noskia". EmbyIcons uses Skia for the drawing on the icons and without it will not work.

I never thought about adding a check for that, which is embarrassing, so the plugin will just fail with the "-noskia".
I'm very sorry about that!!

Going to add a check for future version of EmbyIcons so this won't happen again!

Sorry to ask something so basic, but if I can't load Emby, how do I get a log?

It should create a log even though it shuts down.
It doesn't matter though, i found out what was wrong in the last log.

Is there an EmbyIcons dll file to delete? Will that work to restore access?

Yes, in the plugins folder there is a embyicons.dll file, just delete that

If you can't do it via the file manager then you will have to ssh in and delete /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/plugins/embyicons.dll

"sudo rm /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/plugins/embyicons.dll" in terminal.

Removed the dll from /volume1/@appdata/EmbyServer/plugins (different location to what you suggested, but I assume that's fine) and now I can load Emby again - thank you

Question is, should I try EmbyIcons again? Has whatever the issue was, been corrected?

Sorry about that, i just gave you the location that was shown in the logs.
Happy to hear it's working again though!

Emby for your system sadly lacks SkiaSharp that the plugin uses to drawn on the posters. So it won't work.  
I'm working on and off on making it compatible but it's slow going and i don't have a Synology to test with.

One day the support will be there.
For now a guard against the plugin trying to execute on a system like yours has been added.
