kbeck 80 Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Is it correct the Emby only pulls from an nfo file and never writes edits back to it? I see if I change the season and episode number in an nfo the change will show up in Emby. But if I paste in an episode Overview to the Emby metadata, it will not add to the nfo.
Solution GrimReaper 5202 Posted September 21 Solution Posted September 21 You have separate library settings for NFO Reader and NFO Saver - behavior will follow your selection. 2 1

Yeah, it's been there forever but it's somewhat easy to overlook. Logically, it is placed where it should be (Readers>Downloaders>Savers), but maybe practically it should be moved up, below Readers, so both NFO-related settings are kinda grouped.
MediaIntelNUC 71 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Hi! Exactly where do i find both of these? In server library settings i find read AND write to nfo. And in individual library settings i see the option to save as nfo or not (disable/enable) I would like the setup to be like @GrimReaper mentioned in another post with Emby just reading nfo files and not writing as i use an external scraper that writes nfo:s. Thanx! /N

Thanx! /N Not sure I've quite understood what you're asking, as it appears you've found both of those settings: if you want NFOs to just be read, on a per-library basis: leave NFO Metadata Reader enabled and NFO Metadata Saver disabled/toggled-off. MediaIntelNUC 71 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) Hi there! Without fully understanding my question you still manage to answer it completely I wanted to make sure I had the right settings enabled/disabled. Thank you kindly. /N Edited September 23 by MediaIntelNUC 1
