jake.abbott 0 Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I'm a first time user on my HTC 8X. every time I try to connect to my PC it gives me an invalid connection details message. what did I do wrong?
ScottIsAFool 517 Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Can you try again, when you get that message, tap on enter server details manually, then tap on the app bar, go to about, and send me the logs, there will be a fix coming that I think will address this issue, just want to make sure it's the same thing.
fris 0 Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I purchased the app and I am having the same problem with invalid connection and I know the server address is correct- my phone is Windows Phone 7.8. I tried turning phone off. Tried both cellular and wi-fi, as well as local and remote addresses that are correct. I pressed the "email logs" button to send the logs. thanks for the help.

fris 0 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 What server version? Are you connecting from the internal or external network? Server version 3.0.5445.6 Have tried both internal network wifi (local ip) and external network cellular (using xxxx.no-ip.biz) All other apps (Android, ios, theater, web client) are connecting fine to server from both internal and external sources.

So you enter your IP address/ddns into the WP app, tap test connection and it's failing at that point? This sounds like it's a server regression, especially if you're using the WP7 app as that's in legacy mode now. However, it should still work with current builds of the server. Can you try again, assuming you get the same problem, can you then get the server logs (not the ones for the WP app), and post a question in the server forum please.
