Run faster movie

Bonjour,

I updated my version of EMBY for TV this week from 2.0.70g to 2.1.55.

Unfortunately, after this update, I can no longer run faster all my movies—for example, all of my recordings. 

I noticed that the option "audio output" to put "downmix stereo" is no longer exists. As a result, some videos no longer support playback acceleration.

On the standard EMBY Android app, I can't speed up the playback at all.

Would it be possible to bring back this option and include it in the Standard version? Or to have an automatic toggle when you speed up a video?

So I think it is only stereo (2 canals) movie.

I was able to install version Emby for Android TV_2.1.26g, and it works great.
However, the "Playback/Audio Output/Stereo Downmix" menu is still there.

That's not going to support any of the new server features.

Because every time I do an acceleration there is nothing happening it stays in normal speed

Which app are you testing?  I believe it is correct that the standard app will just do nothing but the TV app should automatically switch playback methods if you attempt to change the speed on an item that has bitstreamed audio direct playing.

Let's please look at a specific example.

Please explain exactly what you are doing and what happens and also  follow the instructions to send a log from the app.

When I start playing a video and try to set the speed to x2, nothing happens on some of them. I’ve sent you the log from the app after trying on 2 videos.

I also tried a third one that works, and I’ve sent you the log from the app for that one as well.

Is it clear for you ? 

For information : I test for the same video witch works on 2.0.70g on Emby for Android 3.5.57, no acceleration

 Then add the following information to your report in the forum:

 

• Exactly what you were doing and what happened.  Include the name of whatever you played if it is a playback problem
• The time you sent the log (in Eastern Time please - UTC -5)
• The name of the Emby user on the local server that was logged in at the time

Tests performed using the local Emby user "Maison".

Test started at 13:10 (UTC+2) / 06:10 (UTC-5).

Audio output set to Auto:

• Le 19:15, playback speed control was not working.
• Histoire parallèle: playback speed controls were unavailable and the fast-forward/speed buttons were not displayed.
• Futurama: playback speed controls were unavailable and the fast-forward/speed buttons were not displayed.

Audio output changed to Stereo Downmix:

• Le 19:45, playback speed control was working.
• Histoire parallèle: playback speed controls worked correctly.
• Futurama: playback speed controls worked correctly.

Observation: The issue appears to be related to the audio output setting. When audio output is set to Auto, playback speed controls are unavailable. When switched to Stereo Downmix, playback speed controls work normally.

All your logs are empty.  I've never seen that before.  Do you have a custom ROM on your device or something?

@ebrNo I use a Zidoo. I think the change you made in version 2.1.55 works perfectly, except when the video is in stereo.
What do you want me to do ?
