MAX92 108 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Bonjour, I updated my version of EMBY for TV this week from 2.0.70g to 2.1.55. Unfortunately, after this update, I can no longer run faster all my movies—for example, all of my recordings. I noticed that the option "audio output" to put "downmix stereo" is no longer exists. As a result, some videos no longer support playback acceleration. On the standard EMBY Android app, I can't speed up the playback at all. Would it be possible to bring back this option and include it in the Standard version? Or to have an automatic toggle when you speed up a video?

MAX92 108 Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 I was able to install version Emby for Android TV_2.1.26g, and it works great. However, the "Playback/Audio Output/Stereo Downmix" menu is still there.

MAX92 108 Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 Nothing happens, the video stays at normal speed
Luke 43389 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Quote On the standard EMBY Android app, I can't speed up the playback at all. Hi, what makes you think that you can't ?
MAX92 108 Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 Because every time I do an acceleration there is nothing happening it stays in normal speed
MAX92 108 Posted September 14 Author Posted September 14 On my zidoo I have both Emby : Android and Android for TV

I believe it is correct that the standard app will just do nothing but the TV app should automatically switch playback methods if you attempt to change the speed on an item that has bitstreamed audio direct playing. Let's please look at a specific example. Thanks.

MAX92 108 Posted September 15 Author Posted September 15 @Luke@ebrIf you want some videos, you can ask.
ebr 16937 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Please explain exactly what you are doing and what happens and also follow the instructions to send a log from the app. Thanks.
MAX92 108 Posted September 15 Author Posted September 15 (edited) @ebr When I start playing a video and try to set the speed to x2, nothing happens on some of them. I’ve sent you the log from the app after trying on 2 videos. I also tried a third one that works, and I’ve sent you the log from the app for that one as well. Is it clear for you ? For information : I test for the same video witch works on 2.0.70g on Emby for Android 3.5.57, no acceleration Edited September 15 by MAX92

Then add the following information to your report in the forum: Exactly what you were doing and what happened. Include the name of whatever you played if it is a playback problem The time you sent the log (in Eastern Time please - UTC -5) The name of the Emby user on the local server that was logged in at the time
MAX92 108 Posted September 16 Author Posted September 16 @ebr : do you wand more information ? Version 2.1.26g Tests performed using the local Emby user "Maison". ebr 16937 Posted September 16 Posted September 16 All your logs are empty. I've never seen that before. Do you have a custom ROM on your device or something?
MAX92 108 Posted September 16 Author Posted September 16 (edited) @ebrNo I use a Zidoo. I think the change you made in version 2.1.55 works perfectly, except when the video is in stereo. What do you want me to do ? Edited September 16 by MAX92
ebr 16937 Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Can you create a video recording of the issue occurring? Perhaps I can spot something then.

Thanks.
MAX92 108 Posted September 18 Author Posted September 18 Sorry, I didn't understand. I will send you in private
ebr 16937 Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Thanks for the videos. I'd really like to see your logs but they don't come through. You say you have not modified the device but I also notice in your video that the OSD does not fill the entire screen. This is usually an indication of running a non-TV OS on the device and may be related to both why we cannot get logs and whatever is happening with this feature for you. Do you have any other Android TV device you can test with?
MAX92 108 Posted September 18 Author Posted September 18 I'll try to return the logs tomorrow by stopping EMBY for Android and rebooting after activating the logos. I confirm that I haven't touched anything and I'm using a Zidoo
MAX92 108 Posted September 18 Author Posted September 18 I sent the logs to Luke on standard Android where I can't speed up any video.
