Emby not working on Philips 85PUS8500 LED TV

Hi Guys,

I tried to set emby up on an Philips 85PUS8500 LED TV. On several other Samsung, Sony and Philips TVs or mobile devices it works fine. I tried using the IP adress as usual, but I also tried emby connect and the Synology Server name. But it says that no connection to the server is possible. Is there anything special with this TV?

I am using Synology DS1821+ with emby 4.9.5.0

Here are photos of the app in the appstore and from the welcome screen. No further infos available. Can you work with it?

Btw no other Emby App like "Emby for Android TV" is available on this TV. Only this one.

OK, are you trying to connect to your own Emby Server, or someone else's server?

198.168.178.157 with the pre-configured port 8096 and I also tried emby connect without any effect

HI, for TitanOS, currently you need to setup SSL for this to work. please see this topic for more info;

Thank you it worked.

But unfortunately it only worked once with the app. In a second run the app does not connect properly anymore. I can gladly share a photo later on.

My workaround is using emby with the https address over the internet browser now. That works fine, but I have to control it with a mouse cursor via tv remote.
