Emby Not recording series - using wrong date

In any case, I believe that, you think it is "working fine" because it is not trying to determine if you already have any particular showing of any particular item already and is just happily recording duplicates.  We are using the guide data to avoid recording duplicates and, according to the guide data, this would be a duplicate.

Please do not contribute to this issue. Others are dealing with it.

Great, thank you for troubleshooting this. Yes, I have a recording series setup for Matt and Mollie, the Jack Saunders recording was just a test. 
If i were testing I would use the Matt and Mollie as that seems to have the most issues. 

Just checked and there theres an update to emby, Version 4.9.5.0. I will continue to record and monitor.

This is odd, radio on is show as radio one but is actually kiss fm.  I will delete the tuner and readd it. I will also check the guide listing to make sure they are correct.  

I have added multiple emby guide sources. The guide is now correct. I will test over the test few days with a few different shows to see if its working properly.

That was why I said do not use the national lineup but use the one for your post code - either Local Over The Air Broadcast or Freeview - then 700 would be BBC R1 and would auto match to the channel from the tuner during initial setup

On the National lineup BBC R1 is 181 and channel with callsign KISSRDO is 700 - so please delete that lineup and use Freeview or the Local Over the air Broadcast

The standard OTA lineups to use would show like these highlighted one in the green boxes - The Freeview one would show the relevant one for your post code

The initial response from Gracenote was positive and they are looking into getting the airings for Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders and Charlie and Jerry corrected.

The bad news is that each show/series that has issues needs to be investigated and reported separately.

I will look into Matt and Mollie next

Using the national service may have been the issue however it was set to Over the Air Broadcast previously when the errors occured. I have deleted all of them and just added local ones. 
So it was an issue with Gracenote as well as the guide listing data. That's good news.  
I'm testing recordings with a few other radio channels. Once they have completed I will update.

We have a problem:
both emby guides set to OTA
I did not stop and start the recording. However the episode may have had breaks in it due to news and it treating it as another program.

I do not understand why you need both guides - it is an either ... or ... They should be identical

With regards to investigating recordings, for each case I would need to know the channel number and channel name on the guide/tuner. I can guess but i do not want to do that.

And if you are getting multiple recording files where the guide does not show them as separate entries, then i would need server debug logs covering the time from start of first recording  for the day to the end of one that is duplicate

Concentrate on one of these and i will investigate

I have deleted the second emby source. It is now set to Local Over the Air Broadcast (which is what is was set to at first)
currently recording. Server log will be sent via DM.

I will record Radio 1 Dance Party with Danny Howard and let it finish normally and see what happens to the filename.

FYI Gracenote have corrected airings details in the BBC R1 schedule for these shows

Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders
Going Home with Vick, Katie and Jamie on Radio 1
The Official Chart: First Look on Radio 1 with Lauren Layfield

Refresh the guide and see what you get in the schedule for the next airings for these 3 shows. Note that there is 24 hour caching in Emby Server for guidedata before a change would be picked in a guide refresh

The filename issue is similar to what you see for the others - this happens when the schedule from gracenote just gives the show information.

The setting for the recording for check whether the episode is in the library already will determine if further airings are recorded or not. If that setting is not enabled, then they should get recorded for subsequent airings and would all have the same base filename. I expect them to be playable as if there were different versions
