Naruto episodes not playing on Nvidia Shield

Recently I wanted to start watching Naruto again. I've had some issues with playing anime in the past but it's been a while.
When starting episode 54 on my Nvidia Shield using the Android TV app (version 2.1.55g) there is a short loading circle and then the episode info is shown again.
Transcoding is turned off on my server because this tries to transcode some files on the LG client that can be direct played.

I first suspected the ASS subs to be the issues but even with them turned off the episode still doesn't play.
How can I find out if the video or audio might not be supported on the Nvidia Shield?
I sent the debug logs from the app around 18:33 UTC and was logged in with the user Cédric.
