Luke 42891 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Fix what? did you try the suggestion from the user above?
Oomek 6 Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago (edited) Yes and it does not help at all. The only way to refresh the photos, as I mentioned earlier, is to scroll through all the actors list list every movie and every tv show. And then fetch missing metadata. Besides The new movies I add also have missing actors even ones that I fixed earlier, so I still believe it's a server bug. Edited 21 hours ago by Oomek

Oomek 6 Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago The response does not help. My images are not in opt but in var, check the screenshots.

I think the query just has to be adjusted to look for the right records to blank out. Since they're pointing to folders on your windows c drive, that's probably what it should be looking for.
Oomek 6 Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago When I fetch metadata why Emby quits prematurely when it sees an invalid path? It should fetch new data and overwrite the path.

Oomek 6 Posted 19 hours ago Author Posted 19 hours ago (edited) So what is the point of "Search for missing metadata" function then when it cannot check for missing files? Is it just crawling the db and checking for missing entries? Edited 19 hours ago by Oomek
Solution Luke 42891 Posted 19 hours ago Solution Posted 19 hours ago 5 minutes ago, Oomek said: So what is the point of "Search for missing metadata" function then when it cannot check for missing files? Is it just crawling the db and checking for missing entries? It does do that on the movie or series, but doesn't go into each of the cast members. For that you'd have to refresh metadata on actual people, which would take you longer. Did you run the scan metadata folder task like i mentioned earlier?

Migration from filesystem with different delimeters in paths ("\" and "/") is not an option unless you find all the references and correct them. For example all the Images paths for the cast will have the wrong path folder delimeter Browsing the log from the 11th August - shows you have one library still referencing a windows path! Library: Muzyka, id: 7, CollectionType: music, CollapseSingleItemFolders: False, ForceCollapseSingleItemFolders: False Configured paths: /media/oomek/Data/MP3,D:\MP3 Library Folder: MP3, id: 8: path: D:\MP3 Library Folder: MP3, id: 67136: path: /media/oomek/Data/MP3 if all the media in D:\MP3 is now in /media/oomek/Data/MP3 then just edit that library and remove the D Drive windows path I will send you a link to upload a zip of the database and I will have a look to see what can be done to salvage this setup On 11/08/2026 at 22:35, Oomek said: but I was having the issue with photos long before that If you did have an issue with missing cast images before the migration from windows to linux then that would have been a different issue Edited 7 hours ago by sa2000

I did not know what you mean initially, I thought you meant Refresh Metadata. Scan Metadata task took 41 seconds. I looked through some movies and so far I do not see broken images. I have also added 2 new movies and all photos are there, I will keep monitoring it. Thanks for the help.

sa2000 814 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Thanks for uploading the database. The paths for the cast / actors images appear ok now The music libraru still has the windows path. This should be removed Also you appear to have m3u playlists - the references to the windows m3u files will need to be deleted - so look at the playlists and delete them individually I see there are two sets of playlists - eg "Chemical Brothers - Surrender" is 2 playlists - one with the windows paths and one for the linux paths. After you remove the windows path for the library, i can check the database again to see if there are still references to the windows playlists
Oomek 6 Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago I forgot to remove it. I have uploaded current database. 1
sa2000 814 Posted 36 minutes ago Posted 36 minutes ago (edited) @Oomek thanks for sending the new copy of the database The playlists for the music paths on windows have now been removed from the database after you updated the path for the music library The cast and actors image paths all got corrected earlier when you did a metadata scan If you do use tha backup plugin, go to the settings and make sure you have a valid path defined - documentation here The database has one item still with a windows path - relates to Live TV where a path is currently set to %MetadataPath%\views\livetv For Linux, it ought to be %MetadataPath%/views/livetv I will discuss with the development team to see if the Scan metadata task should have corrected that. Oomek 6 Posted 33 minutes ago Author Posted 33 minutes ago Thanks @sa2000for your thorough analysis. I have no idea where these LiveTV entries are coming from, I've never used it.
