esaym153 0 Posted Friday at 02:16 AM Posted Friday at 02:16 AM I see the android TV app was updated a few days ago on my Sony Tv. Not sure of all formats and combos, but for the few files I tried, they were av1 with opus. The audio would transcode (whereas I don't think it did this before the update) and you get a black screen with audio only. The server logs showed: Emby Server version: 4.9.5.0 Operating system: Unix 6.1.0.37 Command Line: /home/programs/opt/emby-server/system/EmbyServer.dll -programdata /home/programs/emby_data -ffdetect /opt/emby-server/bin/ffdetect -ffmpeg /opt/emby-server/bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /opt/emby-server/bin/ffprobe -restartexitcode 3 -updatepackage emby-server-deb_{version}_amd64.deb App: AndroidTv 2.1.51g Family Room TV User-Agent: Emby/2.1.51g (Linux;Android 12) ExoPlayerLib/2.18.7 With the transcode info: 14:00:14.879 Metadata: 14:00:14.879 AB_AV1_FFMPEG_ARGS: -c:v libsvtav1 -crf 29.75 -preset 4 14:00:14.880 ENCODER : Lavf62.15.100 14:00:14.880 Duration: 01:08:49.14, start: -0.007000, bitrate: 1623 kb/s 14:00:14.881 Stream #0:0: Video: av1 (Main), yuv420p10le(tv, progressive), 1920x1036, SAR 1:1 DAR 480:259, Level 8, 23.98 fps, 23.98 tbr, 1k tbn (default) 14:00:14.882 Metadata: 14:00:14.884 DURATION : 01:08:49.084000000 14:00:14.884 Stream #0:1(eng): Audio: opus, 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, Start-Time -0.007s (default) 14:00:14.884 Metadata: 14:00:14.884 title : English DTS 5.1 chnls 768 kbps 14:00:14.884 ENCODER : Lavc62.31.100 libopus 14:00:14.885 DURATION : 01:08:49.137000000 14:00:14.886 Stream mapping: 14:00:14.886 Stream #0:0 -> #0:0 (copy) 14:00:14.886 Stream #0:1 -> #0:1 (opus (native) -> aac (native)) What exactly was changed in the newest version?
FrostByte 5548 Posted Friday at 09:47 AM Posted Friday at 09:47 AM Can you also send an AndroidTV app log containing the error to the devs and provide the information requested in the link below 7 hours ago, esaym153 said: What exactly was changed in the newest version? Don't know what version of the app you were on before, but here's the list of changes.
ebr 16531 Posted Friday at 01:47 PM Posted Friday at 01:47 PM Hi. Please also provide the full ffmpeg log. Thanks.
ebr 16531 Posted Saturday at 06:43 PM Posted Saturday at 06:43 PM Still need that additional info but looks like it could be server-related:

Attacked some server logs too. ffmpeg-remux-f74a43bb-304c-4764-8558-96ae882396eb_1.txt embyserver.txt
ebr 16531 Posted yesterday at 02:40 PM Posted yesterday at 02:40 PM Okay, the issue is that, while your TV supports AV1 it does not support it inside a TS container which is what is happening now so that we can convert the audio. The next app update should correct this but you may be better off using the standard app if you have a lot of AV1/Opus. Thanks.

I didn't know that was an option. I simply installed the "android tv" app since this is android tv. What is the difference? I have been re-encoding most of my stuff into av1+opus lately.

Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.
