AndroidTv update now black screen with av1/opus videos

I see the android TV app was updated a few days ago on my Sony Tv. Not sure of all formats and combos, but for the few files I tried, they were av1 with opus. The audio would transcode (whereas I don't think it did this before the update) and you get a black screen with audio only.
