Racerprose 29 Posted July 8 Posted July 8 (edited) So TOS 7 stable is out now and for some reason if you try to do manual updates of Emby versions it wipes the config and you need to start over. Not sure if the issue lies on Embys end with TOS 7 or if it is a TOS 7 issue. Clearly this is not ideal as you want to be able to keep your library config and not need to start over every time there is a stable or beta update! Edited July 8 by Racerprose
Luke 42799 Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Hi, this isn't normal. What versions of Emby Server and DSM did you update from?
gluk147 4 Posted July 9 Posted July 9 (edited) Before the update, I had TOS 6 and Emby Server 4.10.0.16 beta installed. Today I updated to TOS 7. The Emby version remained the same: 4.10.0.16. However, all Emby settings were deleted because the settings folder was moved. Updating to 4.10.0.17 didn't help. I had to manually copy the metadata folder from Emby to ffdetected. It doesn't seem to matter the version. Currently on 4.9.0.70. If I update to stable 4.9.5.0 all settings and config are erased. Same happens if updatin to beta Emby versions. This only happens on latest TOS 7 Edited July 9 by Racerprose
richt 98 Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Take a look at these items. Emby and TOS 7 are currently out of sync https://forum.terra-master.com/en/viewtopic.php?t=10180 Still waiting......

You'll be waiting a while, thats why manual is the best way. But right now with TOS 7 a manual update breaks things. Don't know if the issue is on Emby or TerraMasters end. To be fair, TOS 7 is a new OS version, so if they made changes how things work, its probably up to Emby to make sure they are following the OS way. Emby do after all offer different versions depending on OS version currently. I think they need to do that with TOS 7 now. @Luke

Racerprose 29 Posted 55 minutes ago Author Posted 55 minutes ago (edited) Is this a Emby issue or TOS 7 issue? @gluk147@Luke I will note there is a new TOS 7 update out today that mentions library scanning fixes for Emby but no mention of a fix for this issue. Edited 54 minutes ago by Racerprose
gluk147 4 Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago I think it's TOS because when I updated TOS to the latest version (last week), I edited the config file again.
Racerprose 29 Posted 45 minutes ago Author Posted 45 minutes ago Okay it would be helpful if everyone sent this to TerraMaster support so they get on it. support@terra-master.com

I don't know if a space is needed or not; I have it written with a space in the config. The server detects everything correctly. Edited 35 minutes ago by gluk147
