maximumentropy 40 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Emby Windows, 2.315.2.0 Download a movie or video. I used "Original" quality for my tests. Wait for the download to complete successfully. Download the *same* movie or video. The second download shows in "Manage Downloads" as "Waiting to transfer" and stays that way. No new download takes place and no progress bar is shown in Downloads>Settings. No new entry shows in BITS manager. After deleting the original completed download and restarting the client, the new download progresses normally and completes. Expected behavior: No new entry should be created in "Manage Downloads". A warning or error could be displayed stating that the item was already downloaded, though for some use cases (e.g. multi-select) I'd prefer it if the duplicate downloads were just silently skipped and ignored.
Luke 42916 Posted July 28 Posted July 28 HI there, can you please provide a specific example? How to Report a Problem Thanks !
maximumentropy 40 Posted July 28 Author Posted July 28 Just download the same movie twice on a single device. It's trivial to reproduce. A specific example is shown below.
Luke 42916 Posted July 28 Posted July 28 It lets you do this because you might set the second one up at a different quality than the first. We'll probably need a log from the app to see why the second one is not getting downloaded.
maximumentropy 40 Posted July 28 Author Posted July 28 If the intention is to allow for a differtent quality, that's not working. The second download still stays in the "Ready to Transfer" state.
Luke 42916 Posted July 28 Posted July 28 OK. We'll probably need a log from the app to see why the second one is not getting downloaded.
