Windows phone app doesn't authenticate, my iPhone app does...?

What gives? I use my iPhone Media Browser app and I can connect just fine -- but the Windows Phone app doesn't, it keeps "authenticating" and then craps out.

 

Any ideas?

Yeah, you need to forward port 8945 too.

Not if the server is windows 8 or 2012.

I've seen it mentioned about forwarding port 8945 for the WP app to work but it works for me without it and this explains it. I was slightly worried that traffic was getting into my network.
