JGelps 1 Posted June 12 Posted June 12 I know the difference between Horizontal and Vertical layout in TV mode. Horizontal lets me see much more at once which is nice. Seems that the home screen ordering doesn't do anything in Horizontal though. What I am wondering, is there any way to hide the first section(Show, Favorites, Upcoming)? It takes up so much space that we can never see the next section(Latest Episodes in this case) without scrolling. And that section doesn't exist in vertical mode at all. I tried changing Image Size under General Settings to be smaller so it might fit more on screen but that doesn't seem to do anything. Fur Thanks!
JGelps 1 Posted June 13 Author Posted June 13 Turns out image size does work but requires a restart. So changing it to smaller gets a lot more on the screen which is nice. Notably it still doesn't change the left section at all. But this is pretty good.

I don't use it myself, but I know they are making a ton of home page changes for upcoming server version.
Solution Luke 42681 Posted June 15 Solution Posted June 15 There haven't been a whole lot of options added to the horizontal home screen simply because it's been hard to update that screen without getting a lot of push back from users. It is a special sauce screen that we've had around forever and it hasn't seen a whole lot of changes.
Mahinepua 117 Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Horizontal looks pretty but vertical is much more practical.

visproduction 363 Posted June 16 Posted June 16 (edited) Horizontal vs. vertical, I would guess depends on the user and their hardware. Workstations with browser, horizontal is my preference. I never use mobile, tablets or TV Apps. Edited June 16 by visproduction
JGelps 1 Posted June 18 Author Posted June 18 I use the TV display and sometimes we use a mouse and sometimes a controller. Scrolling left to right on the vertical screen with a mouse requires a click and drag and sometimes you end up clicking into an item which isn't great. Honestly making the icons smaller on the horizontal screen has been pretty good. Just wish that first panel could be changed but oh well. I know it's impossible to please everyone 1
