English version (with translator):

Hi everyone!

I’ll try to keep this short:

I had my Emby server running on my Synology with a lot of videos. I ran into an issue in January that forced me to reconfigure Emby; I lost a lot of videos in the process, so I had to re-add some of them.

My problem is that only the “new” videos (ones that were never on my Emby server before) show up when I sort by “date added.” The videos I already had do show up when I search for them, but unfortunately they don’t appear under “recently added.”

I get the impression that when I had to reconfigure everything, a file from the previous database is still present and is preventing my recent additions (which were already there before the outage) from appearing as “new additions.”

I’m not sure if that makes sense; sorry.

thanks

Hi, do you have nfo files next to your videos?

Hi Luke,

Yes

Have you taken a look at the added value in any of these?

Yes, I just checked two videos uploaded on the same day—one is listed as having been uploaded a few days ago, while the other looks like it was uploaded a year ago.

It looks like there's still a trace of my old setup somewhere

What is your Date added behavior under Settings>Library tab in the sidebar>Advanced tab up top set to?

"Use the file creation date"—do you think I should change this setting to "Use the date added to the media library"? I hadn't noticed that option!
I'll give that option a try later today to see how it goes!! Thank you so much!

Yes.

Note that, as with any other library option change, It'll apply only to new added content.
