Long Delay when first playing Music with lots of Downloads

Hello people,

I've been experiencing something rather unfortunate. On my Android device, I got quite a lot of Music downloaded onto an SD-Card. Pretty much my whole Library, which is about 12k songs summing up to 300 GB in size.

Most of the time, when I start the App and play any track, it takes about 30-60 seconds until the track finally plays. I have tried to narrow it down and found the following details:

• The delay only occurs when I start the application fresh, after not using it for a few hours.
• The more songs I have downloaded, the longer the delay. With 0 downloads, there is no delay.
• When I exit the application during that time, it crashes (sometimes).
• Happens with both a single song or a longer playlist.
• Happens with both downloaded songs and non-downloaded songs.

I can only imagine this is due to the application scanning all downloaded files in some form before playing the first track.

Does anyone have experience with this?
