Chapter selection after changing episode

Chapter selection in the UI isn't synced with currently playing chapter after forwarding to a new episodes.

So what happens in details (this happens with all shows, just using this layout as an example).
I am watching a show where all episodes have the following chapter layout: Prologue - Opening - Part A - Part B - Ending
The "Opening" is the intro song that I want to skip.
The "Ending" is the credits.
When the opening song plays, I open the chapter list and select "Part A".
Then when credits play I use the skip forward button to go to the next episode of the show.
Then I watch the prologue until the opening song plays again at the "Opening"chapter.
So I open the chapter list by pressing up on the remote, and up again to actually select a chapter.
At this point the green outline shows around the chapter I selected during the previous episode, so it shows it around "Part A".
And even though the UI shows green outline around "Part A", functionally it has "Opening" selected (which it should, since that what the video is playing at the moment).
When I just press "ok" on the remote, the it starts the opening song from the start.
And when I press "right" on the remote, the green outline goes back to the "Opening" chapter for a fraction of a second, and then to the right to "Part A".

I just tested a little further.
While the above does happen, it's not because it shows the green outline on the previously selected chapter.
After using forward or just letting Emby start the next episode on its own, the chapter list on the new episode just shows the green selection outline on what ever chapter is now playing + 1.
So if I open the chapter list while chapter 1 is playing, it shows the green outline around 2 (but functionally still has 1 selected).
When I wait for chapter 2, like in above example, it shows the green outline around chapter 3 (but functionally still has 2 selected).
When I stop, and start that same episodes from the episodes list of the show, the chapter list correctly shows the green outline around the currently playing chapter.

I am using client app version 2.1.23g.
And running the server in docker on my NAS, version 4.9.5.0.
