doonze 31 Posted Saturday at 12:48 AM Posted Saturday at 12:48 AM Since the upgrade to 4.9.5.0 I've seen freezing happen remotely on a Roku TV. And the kids report they've had shows randomly freeze and artifact or go back and replay the last 5-10 seconds without freezing. Also on a Roku TV. When I saw the freezing remotely, I had assumed it was an issue with the movie itself (the encoding) as I didn't get buffering like when... well... you get buffering ( no spinning loading circle on screen). The freezing was at a remote location, but the kids are on the local LAN. I wasn't worrying about the remote freezing as I attributed the issues to non-emby related problems at the time, but when the kids told me today about the issues they've had several times the last week or so, I started to see a trend I thought worth reporting. Attached is an example of a movie that was doing the "replay last 5-10 seconds" thing. It was the remuxes for Zodiac. I've also attached my general server log for that time. The movie Prisoners also did it, and I was just told both pixilated/glitched/froze during playback as well as the "going back 10 seconds" thing. Prisoners didn't create any remux logs, however. I have attached an extract multi-image log (whatever that is) for the movie that was freezing remotely (The Crash), and that would be about the time we saw the issues. But I don't see a transcoding log for that movie. I've attached the server log for that time as well. Zodiac, Prisoners around 1:00 AM 5/29/26 user Dakota The Crash around 9:30 PM 5/26/26 user Nicole Debian Bookworm Dell R710 24 Core Enterprise Server Emby server 4.9.5.0 All issues on Roku TV's running the latest Emby app. Both remote and local LAN To be honest, as I run (and created) the Emby Updater for Linux, I got the update within 24 hours of it being released (my updater runs 1x a day). I've had 4.9.5.0 for some time. We just noticed this issue in the last few weeks. But we never had it before 4.9.5.0. I did have some issues with remote users due to Cloudflair 3-4 weeks ago, but the kids on the local LAN have been having the most issues, so it's not internet/CF related for sure. embyserver-63915670790.txt ffmpeg-remux-25fb2725-3a51-411b-a111-60658cc22375_1.txt ffmpeg-remux-1d7f0a2a-f289-453f-a1f4-21b14116765e_1.txt extract-multi-image-F5CCE8D30DC2_1.txt embyserver-63915436800.txt
doonze 31 Posted Saturday at 01:02 AM Author Posted Saturday at 01:02 AM Query: In logs, I can turn on debugging logs, but cannot turn DOWN the logging level. My logs are pretty huge as you can see. Several hundred MB's of logging each week. Is there a way to get less chatty logs? I can't imagine what debug level looks like as verbose as the current logs are!

Luke 42505 Posted Saturday at 06:02 PM Posted Saturday at 06:02 PM What you could try is to remove the statistic, playback reporting and theme song plugins and see if that helps.
