Vilmalith 2 Posted May 29 Posted May 29 I have 2019 Nvidia Shield Pros on every TV in the house. They all currently use the Emby Android TV app. With the pop ups to switch to the regular Emby Android app I tried it on all of them and experience what looks like the soap opera effect constantly switching on and off which seems to be causing audio sync issues. I've been trying the Android app for the past couple months everytime there is a new official release and a new beta release. The issue has not disappeared. For the options that exist between both apps they are all set the same. Emby server is v4.9.5.0 on TrueNAS Scale. Android App v3.5.36 Android TV App v2.1.46g Which logs would be most helpful? I can also grab a piece of a file that works fine on the Android TV app but has this issue on the Android app.
Luke 42593 Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
Vilmalith 2 Posted May 31 Author Posted May 31 (edited) The Android app doesn't appear to have a debug option as per the "how to report" post. It does have the separate Logs option in Settings. I went in and turned logs on and then restarted the app as suggsted. It wasn't generating logs as far as I could tell so I also restarted the shield. I still don't see any logs in the Logs section of settings The Android TV app does have the debug option, and it does appear to generate logs, but I'm not experiencing issues with that app so I didn't send any and turned it off. Attached are logs from the server. The play logs I removed played stuff before the attempts and library updates. As a note, Emby is using the onboard graphics for transcoding (which it isn't doing here anyway as it should be and appears to be direct playing this particular example). The nvidia graphics card it sees, the container doesn't have access to use. hardware_detection-63915832266.txt audio_working_embyserver.txt audio_sync_issue_embyserver.txt Edited May 31 by Vilmalith
