## Blogs on Mastodon

Mastodon is a free and open-source decentralized social networking platform with microblogging features similar to Twitter/X.

Posting your blogs on Mastodon can be a great way to increase your visibility and popularity on a decentralized platform while reaching audiences beyond traditional social media networks.

## Discussion Group on XMPP, Signal or SimpleX

If interested, it would be nice to have an official Lemmy community, Signal, XMPP, or SimpleX group (instead of relying on Discord, Matrix, or Telegram, Reddit).

It would give users a place to help each other out, share ideas, and talk about ways to improve kashcal (and maybe get some input from the devs when they have time).

Open and federated platforms are more aligned with open-source values, reduce vendor lock-in, improve privacy, and make communities more resilient long-term.

Assuming this isn't a bot, this is a solution in search of a problem (a solved one at that).

I mainly mean an official Emby Mastodon account for blog posts, release announcements, updates, and occasional community interaction.

A lot of self-hosted and open-source communities are active on Mastodon/Fediverse already, so I think it could help visibility and reach more users outside traditional platforms.

Hi.  You are currently posing in our official channel for all of those things.

I understand, but federated community cannot see the articles here. So it might be a good idea to reach more users outside at mastodon

You just take the link, and post it into your "federated community".
Voila, they all can visit it.
This is how Twitter actually started and how it got big.
You can also use AI to create a script to post those links automatically into your mastodon-server.
This is what makes this system relevant for others in the first place, if this is your goal.
Btw.: Mastodon was superseded by nostr, which is architecturally way better designed (but still lacks a solution for permanent storage basically, which is the culprit of all those systems). And then there is also matrix, which would replace the XMPP & Signal bit from your OT.
