Emby Server 4.9.5.0, what is wrong with the search?

Server: 4.9.5.0
OS: WIN 11

Is there something new with the search?
was the Url always like this:
/web/index.html#!/list/list.html?type=search

 

because it looks different now:

i don't get what i am looking for, i just get recommendations, and only if i scroll down i get the categories where i can filter what i am looking for:

 

after scrolling down:

 

but it is not showing anything, only if i click on tv shows, it is appearing:

 

this is not really how the search worked and not really how i want it to work.


Is there a way to remove this "list" view or get the cathegories back to the top?

I think this is not how it should be right?

I am getting random suggestions now also in the search, is there an option to turn this off?

I just want the normal search that was working in the previous version

The connection I drew was related to the actual search results below the suggestion/recent display being invisible.

I can confirm I'm getting the search bug as well on 4.9.5.0.

Suggestions show above actual search results randomly,  extremely annoying.

Just to add to this.

It's totally random, I can only get it to happen by accident.  Only on the web app or the mobile app.   

On a positive note, I'm noticing search results are more accurate on this version.  Something has def changed.

I have this on the web browser, but also on the mobile app as the emby android app. i haven't tested the emby for fire tv, i am talking about the latest emby for android i use on the nvidia shield, so i think this is everywhere.

Personally, I think it would be better to have tabs. User can then choose search or view previous searches
