CHA0SENG7NE 28 Posted yesterday at 07:21 AM Posted yesterday at 07:21 AM Hi I would like to have two movie libraries. HD and Lower, 4k. I prefer to not use filters to see only 4k. Is it possible to have the separate libraries and use the Multi version detection option so it combines all the movies from both libraries?
js28194 43 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Super confused by the question. You want separate libraries to differentiate based on quality but combine also based on differences? That makes ZERO sense to me but I digress and pass to the people smarter than I am. What "filters" do you speak of? Is a dropdown box too difficult for you on what version you would like?
CHA0SENG7NE 28 Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago Hi sorry to be confusing. Ill try and make it clearer... On the home screen I would Like Movies & 4K Movies Libraries. Not just Movies as shown in the example. This will allow me to look at 4k movies only with ease. No use of search filters required. But in the standard movies library I would like to use the multi detect function to include the 4k. So I can see all versions and use the drop down in the example you gave. Basically have a 4k movie shortcut as a library and also included inthe normal movie library. Hope that is clearer Thanks
CHA0SENG7NE 28 Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago I would normaly need to go and filter 4k
Lessaj 501 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago (edited) I think you could achieve this with STRM files, depending on how you store the media. If you have the media in the same folder used for the non-4k content, you can create a folder for the 4k content with strm files that point to the originals. This would give you multi-version in your "main" library while also seeing the 4k separately, without duplicating the files on your storage since the strm is just a link to the other file. https://emby.media/support/articles/Strm-Files.html Edited 17 hours ago by Lessaj
js28194 43 Posted 41 minutes ago Posted 41 minutes ago Try this an example below: Separate them at the library / folder level: Folder Structure - F:\Media\Movies\4K F:\Media\Movies\1080p Then you can create 3 different libraries. First is your main "Movie" library that includes all paths then... One called "4K Movies" that only includes the 4k folder and one called "1080p" that only includes the 1080p folder.
