Same movie in multiple folders - any real issues?

Hi,

I'm building a plugin where it currently creates a .strm file from a selection of existing movies/files and put this into a new folder.
Then creating a new library referencing the new folder contain .strm files.

Its setup like this:
Library 1 "All movies"
Referencing folder /Media/movies/all

Library 2 "Strm files"
Referencing folder /Media/strm/

There has been some concerns raised that this way is not recommended because of "issues".

I have tried to read through the forum and used some AI tools to do a research what the "issues" are. The only thing that I can find and that AI tools also notice is that duplicates will appear in continue watching and some other places. This is pure UI issues and can be handled in other ways (manually merging items the same way like a 1080p and 4K).
Another risk cold be that the movies will also be handled like independent from each other regarding metadata and images, but for my use case this is good and why I have built the plugin using multiple libraries.

To my understanding its more risks involved when using the same file in multiple libraries.

So my questions to the devs: Can you confirm or deny whether having the same movie represented by different files in two separate libraries can cause any real issues (database corruption, instability, performance problems, etc.) beyond UI duplication?
And also, if merging movies across different libraries, could this lead to any issues?

Thanks!
