lyng 0 Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago I am using Linux Mint 22.3 and My System has an Enormous 128gb of Ram, Core i9 CPU etc. I have Downloaded the Linux Version Direct from Emby ( emby-server-deb_4.9.3.0_amd64.deb ). Now it actually does install ( well , in the end it says it has installed ). But I can't find it in Programs, Software Centre, and Terminal. However, when I try to reinstall it , it says, ( already installed ). Can't find any Reference to it in My System. Gee it would be Nice to put a Shortcut to it on the Desktop , like any other Respectable App. But I can go to Emby in Google Chrome and Log in there. Has anyone got similar experience with that, and am I Installing it the right way. Any help would be appreciated. CHEERS, John.
Q-Droid 1022 Posted 15 minutes ago Posted 15 minutes ago The Emby server installs as a service (systemd) and runs automatically upon installation and system startup. I don't think it will show up as an installed application or program in the GUI. You should be able to see the running process in a system monitor. Get used to shell command line if you want to manually start/stop the Emby service.
