nickysilver 18 Posted May 12 Posted May 12 (edited) I use an Nvidia Shield and I have not been able to resolve an issue. The app takes up to 6 minutes to find the server (I keep getting a "vollying error.") And sometimes it won't open at all. This sudsy started a few days ago. Both the server and the app are on the shield. The content is on an external hard drive hooked into the shield. And I've sort of given up on resolving this problem. (If anyone has an idea, I'll try it!!) But, I have an extra shield laying around! So, I'm thinking I'll move everything to the new shield! (I have no memory of how I loaded libraries or anything, so god help me.) I do have an emby premier key. So my first question is: Can I keep the old server up and running while I set up the new one. (I have 2500 movies, all with custom meta data (nfo), which hopefully will get read by the new server. But I also have about 40 collections, and those, I know have to be done manually.) So I can I have two servers on two different machines at the same time? (When I'm done editing, just plug in the old machine, until I can continue, until finished.) Also is there some guide online as to how to do this? I mean, what order I do things in to make sure the nfo files get read. Thanks! And pray for me (I'm a techno MORON!) Edited May 12 by nickysilver
visproduction 361 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Have you tried th troubleshooting for the External hard drive? Can you easily see and use any of the files with another file manager type of program or just access the external harddrive directly and send a directory list command? Does that work? Other possible steps: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=external+hardrive+vollying+error&ia=web

nickysilver 18 Posted May 13 Author Posted May 13 I did (thank god) and every movie went into the right position. I still had to edit artwork and collections, but I managed everything in a few hours. When I used to have to start over it took 5 or 6 days! God bless nfo! 1
