vincen 82 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Hi I encounter a strange issue with some video medias that are not playing (but only in browser). Server is running on a beefy Linux Debian 13 server but only CPU in it (no GPU). I have some movies that I can play without problem using the native beta app on Linux (direct stream) but if I play them or try in a browser like FF or Brave it spins endlessly. I attach the log file of the transcoding (looked in it but not really an expert about ffmpeg). If I play that same media in the native app on Mac (2.2.33), the Emby app crashes as soon as I try to play the media. Is there something I can do about it ? or it's a bug in the server ? Thanks ffmpeg-directstream-10932525-1654-476b-b7f8-d67aa2a9b712_1.txt

I confirm the issue with Brave is still there with 4.9.5 (but I found a ticket on Brave github that confirms the bug in Brave https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/44301 ) but it would be nice to add in Web player settings to be able to force transcode also for AAC (format is not listed so far) so no way to force Emby to transcode in a readable audio format by Brave 1

Thanks for the info.
