gu5gus 4 Posted June 15 Author Posted June 15 I should add that my solution is to store the metadata on a ZFS file system with daily snapshots. If it happens again I can just revert to the previous day when everything was intact.

The one thing I would say is that the server expects the metadata folder to be available at all times. If you take it offline, then you will see broken images, unless you enable the caching feature on your libraries and images have been cached.
