I noticed that Emby Server is using 4GB of RAM of my 8GB Windows 7 computer.  Is there a way to to determine why it is so high and possibly reduce it.  I attached my server log file.

Thanks,

Steve

Perhaps a better question is why does Emby even allow installation and running on an operating system which was EOS more than six years ago?

Windows Task Manager doesn't provide an accurate representation of RAM utilization.

Are you experiencing an actual problem?

The "actual" problem is that Emby server is using 4Gb of RAM as soon as it is started and only releases it after exiting.

Hi, please try removing these plugins:

2026-04-26 21:45:36.595 Info App: Loading playback_reporting, Version=2.1.0.7, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from C:\Users\test7\Downloads\Installed Apps\embyserver-win-x64-4.6.4.0\programdata\plugins\playback_reporting.dll
2026-04-26 21:45:36.595 Info App: Loading statistics, Version=3.4.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from C:\Users\test7\Downloads\Installed Apps\embyserver-win-x64-4.6.4.0\programdata\plugins\Statistics.dll

Then restart the server and see how things compare.

Uninstalled both.  Restarted.  No difference.  Same amount of RAM in use.
