brothom 219 Posted April 24 Posted April 24 (edited) When opening the TV -> Upcoming tab or the Missing Episodes section in the Metadata Manager, you'll either get a couple of errors or timeouts while Emby is collecting data in the background. To fix these you can open these views "a couple of times" until they work. This issue becomes more apparent with large datasets in particular a lot of "running" shows. Is there a way to add a retry/refresh to these views when Emby is running/searching so I don't have to open these views 3 or 4 times in a row. This is especially annoying since the views seem to expire in a couple of hours, resulting in me having to refresh these views a bunch of times. Edited April 24 by brothom
Luke 42528 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
Happy2Play 9834 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Sounds like the other topics. I can see how Missing is really an on demand search now so it will take forever but upcoming should last at least a day. But really depends on ones dataset. 'Upcoming TV' option in Emby taking forever to display any information... - General/Windows - Emby Community 1

Personally I don't understand why just collecting the running shows themselves would take so long, since querying a shows library by running is super fast. I'm pretty sure there's some underlying issue going on with the missing / upcoming calls.
