denzoid 58 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Why not have a setting to reorder? Or toggle them on/off, or list them in the about section? Or put them after the actors? Why prioritize them first? Movie posters and advertising don't include images of the writers/directors (except maybe a few Hitchcock titles). Half the time, there aren't even images available for them, especially writers. For me, it makes the page look half-ass with generic icons listed first. 1
GrimReaper 4945 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I agree, I detest seeing those first - but Emby actually shouldn't be doing that if obtaining metadata itself, only if importing external NFOs written in that order, so the question is are you obtaining metadata externally,, with some other software? 1

Emby is pulling the metadata. I don't use any external method(s).
GrimReaper 4945 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Hm. Have you tried Refreshing Metadata>Replace All on an item and see does it make any difference? Also, what server version you're running?

Also, what server version you're running? If I refresh metadata for an individual title, the order changes, but I have a huge library (5k+ titles), and refreshing metadata for the entire library does not affect the order. Also, each new title I add shows up with writer/director first. Server Version 4.9.3.0 running in a docker on UnRaid. Edited 2 hours ago by denzoid added version info.

Attached is the nfo, which incidentally lists the director and writer last. Female on the Beach (1955) - [Bluray-1080p][AC3 2.0][x265]-MarkII.nfo

Added dummy file with nfo provided and got the same results, Cast first with Crew at the end.
